The Parts Search Process

What your $20 search fee covers...

Our primary goal is to provide you with original GM NOS (New Old Stock) Parts. So we search through about ten different parts books, three parts databases, and dozens of personal contacts that stock NOS parts or know where to find them. You should know that while we may be able to find the original part number used by GM, it may not be the same part number used today. GM continually updates parts and sometimes will use a superseded number to replace the original. Sometimes this makes it difficult to get the part. Once we find the original part number we will email it to you. Whether we find the NOS part or not we will provide you with the part number (if available).

Secondly, if an NOS Part is not available we then search for rebuilt/restored parts. We have purchased hundreds of parts lots over the years and are still sorting through them. Used parts are restored to as close to original as possible. If we don't have it, we have an extensive list of other lot owners who may have access to the part you need. You should then receive an email letting you know if a rebuilt/restored part is found or not. Not everyone wants rebuilt parts. So if you don't want the rebuilt part we will move on to the aftermarket search.

Finally, if that doesn't turn up any results we search for OEM and Aftermarket parts. There are thousands of companies out there that manufacturer OEM and Aftermarket parts. And we have a directory of them. If there is an aftermarket part out there, we should be able to find it. Not all of these manufacturers sell direct to the public. But since we are a parts dealer we can get them for you. Larger, heavier parts may be drop shipped from the manufacturer to save you money on shipping.

If after all that, we do not find your part we will contact you with the bad news. However, don't give up faith. Sometimes we may not be able to locate the correct part but may find a similar alternative. And as we mentioned before, we are still sorting, identified, and cataloging thousands of parts that haven't been processed yet. If your parts search turns up empty we will put your name on our Reserved List and if the part is found in the future we will contact you. And as a special bonus, if your part is not found, we will give you $5.00 off of your next parts search.
